So here I am in a cafe/bookstore/bar thing in Prague. Today I began the hitchhiking adventure from Berlin. Asking at a gas station, we got a lift after 30min. I am travelling with a new friend, a German guy called Felix who has just finished his Bachelor of Science in Geography. Bit of a map man, a skill that I suspect will come in handy. Our first lift was with a German solider, who has served twice in Bosnia. Then we got a lift with the manager of the Berlin and Dresden ice hockey teams, interesting guy. His boss is the 17th richest man in the world (owns the LA Lakers, soccer team Galaxy, built the O2 arena in Berlin). Was a bit of a weird conversation at the start, was like he was testing me. He would only speak German for the first 20min and asked me stuff, to which I replied in my broken German. Then when he told a joke that I pretended to understand and laugh, he started speaking fluent English. Anyways, we wandered through Dresden taking in the sights and wandered out to the south side to catch a lift to Prague. After some highway walking we found a spot, got a lift and ended up in Prague. Is a great city and walked around, see the main sights before meeting up with our hosts in the afore mentioned cafe/bookstore/bar!
